Nursery apprentice working towards level 3
We are looking for especially talented and self-motivated individual who has the ability to make every child feel special with a warm smiling face or a loving hug. You will preferably be a fun outgoing character, with the ability to change a sad face to a happy one with sensitive words or your entertaining sense of humour. You must be able to read stories so many times that you no longer need the book but each time you read it you should react as if it’s the very first time. Along with being able to read it upside down with at least 4 interruptions You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness, if a child wants you to be a Lion you will be the loudest one and won’t feel embarrassed when others are watching you. With the ability to engage others to join you. You must have the ability to multi-task, for example you must be able to conduct a floating and sinking science experiment in the water tray, whilst also being the special guest at a birthday party with numerous cakes being brought to you, along with numerous renditions of “happy birthday to you…” by children in the play dough area. Your main duties will include: Providing support to the nursery with care of the children during the day to day activities in the nursery including sleep, toileting, first aid and toileting. To maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment. To provide a high quality, child-centred service to meet the needs of children, young people and their families, in line with the EYFS and Play Principles. To work within our fun team supporting children to progress and develop their skills in the various areas of the EYFS. Complete your level 3 in childcare qualification within your non-working hours. Liaising with your line manager and course tutor regarding your assignments. This could be the most rewarding job you are ever employed to do and you must be able to go home with a sense of pride when you have taught a child a new skill or supported families through difficult transitions. Nursery practitioner Bank staff
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated person to join a highly dedicated team to deliver quality inclusive practice in a childcare setting. We are a busy and friendly nursery and out of school setting which cares for over 200 children from all backgrounds and from various parts of Peterborough and the surrounding counties. We hold each child and their family at the heart of our practice and service and our team of highly qualified and dedicated practitioners work together to provide a home from home setting for every child. We work flexibly with our bank staff on a monthly basis to allow communication between us on what days and hours are both available to work and also to allow the bank staff practitioners to inform us of any days and hours they are unable to work. You will have: A genuine interest in improving the outcomes of children from disadvantaged backgrounds as well as treating every child as an individual in every way.
